This bud vase was one of many that I made for a Blues and Roots festival I attended in July 2022. These are simple forms that I throw on the pottery wheel, and then carve each vase with a different design. The glaze is applied to the entire pot and then wiped off, leaving glaze in the carvings and exposing the dark clay body that was underneath.
