This mug was an experimental design to test if I could create almost entirely carved mugs. The glaze used for this piece is a dip glaze from Standard Ceramic Supply called "snow on brick." The glaze was applied and then wiped off to reveal the dark clay body underneath. The design continues and wraps around the bottom of the pot, which is stamped in the center with my maker's mark stamp. This piece was a large feat for me in finding a style, especially when comparing and looking back to the pieces I first released on my Etsy in 2020. It will remain a part of my personal collection.
